Plant biotechnology has transformed agriculture and as this scientific field grows, so do university curricula in biotechnology.  This book can be used in a junior or senior level course in plant biotechnology or plant genetics as well as in special topics classes for both undergraduate and graduate students. The focus is on basics and processes, with each chapter building upon the knowledge gained in previous chapters. Each chapter will contain questions geared toward facilitating classroom discussions and will also include inspirational autobiographical essays from eminent scientists writing about their beginnings in science, their contributions to the field and their visions for the future.
