DR. S. S. THIPSE completed his masters in
Thermal Sciences from Bradley University, USA and doctorate from New
Jersey Institute of Technology in the field of Alternative Fuels
Combustion. He has research experience of over 15 years in the
development of alternative fuel vehicles and is currently working on the
development of CNG, LPG, Ethanol, Bio-diesel and HCNG engines at
Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) in the Power Training
Engineering Department. He is also a faculty of ARAI post-graduate
academy. He serves as a member in the expert committees on alternative
fuels of Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of New and
Renewable Energy. Dr. Thipse has written 13 books, and published papers
in several international and national journals and conferences. He has
three patents to his credit.
