Essentials of Hand Surgery
This book provides an understanding of the functional anatomy, physiology and biomechanics that underlie the principles of hand surgery. It is written clearly and concisely to enable complex concepts to be understood easily, with a large number of clinical photos and artworks to illustrate the anatomy and surgical procedures. The book is split into three sections. The first focusses on the basic principles that underpin hand surgery: the anatomy, imaging studies and fundamentals of treatment. The following two sections include chapters that explore the common conditions of the hand and upper limb. These are organized into those that require emergency surgery and those that are treated on an elective basis.
