This book is primarily written for the use in first level course on Internet and Java Programming.This book has been prepared to serve the purpose of a Textbook for MCA, M.Sc (Information Technology/Computer Science), B.Tech. (Information Technology/Computer Science) and DOEACC 'A' Level students as well as practising programmers, who would also find this book to be a valuable reference source. Chapter 1, 2 and 3 explain the basics of Internet. The essential rudiments of object oriented programming are furnished in Chapter 4. It is with due care that Chapter 5 and 6 are divided to details prime elements of Java programming. Chapter 7 and 8 present a galaxy of basic elements, control statement and keywords in Java. Chapter 9 and 10 present basic knowledge of Classes, Object and Inheritance. Chapters from 10 to 15 discuss the Java Package, Exception Handling, String Handling, Multithreading, File Handling. Chapter 16 and 17 describe the Applet, AWT, and Swing in Java.
The book is self-contained and contains basic knowledge on Internet and its applications. An attempt has been carefully made to present the subject in as simple manner as possible with sufficient number of illustrations and required explanations.
